I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
I'm a big fan of free software. I care very much for my privacy online as well as offline, as such, I use few proprietary or Service as a Software Substitute systems.
When it comes to programming, I'm almost always doing it local first (no Codespaces) - though I do appreciate the use of LLM assisted coding using Claude Code.
